Toad way of exporting data into csv

Hi All,

I have a table with one column which contains formated data. When I export using Apex i am loosing the format but when I export using Toad i have no problem. How can we export data from a table without loosing the special chars like spaces and html tags etc.
I appreciate any ones help.
