TO_DATE Conversion Error!

Hi

In one of the table, DFF has been defined.
And in Attribute 1 the date is being displayed. as follows,

Attribute 1 : 2005/10/13 00:00:00

I want to convert this value into Date.. to use in the report! for quaterly analysis,

when i try to use TO_DATE function.. it gives error!

Can Some one help me around!
