Hi All,
I am new to this and using OID to resolve database service instead of using tnsnames.ora. here , when I use tnsping ptmdr , then it does not work , but when I use tnsping ptmdr.domain , then it appears to work. could anybody help me, as how to configure this , so that it beginning to use ptmdr and not tnsping ptmdr.domain.
ptmdr> tnsping ptmdr.am.elcompanies.net
