tnsname.ora & listener.ora deleted - How to regenerate

613994Nov 16 2008 — edited Nov 16 2008
Hi,

I have installed Oracle Database 10.2.0.1.0 on my new RHEL 5.1 server. The database was up and running and the listener too.
Later the listener.ora & tnsnames.ora was deleted accidentally and I am not able to connec to the database thru listener.

But if I login as oracle and source the environment I am able to connect to database as sysdba. But not from clients outside.

All I need is to know how to regenerate the tnsnames.ora & listener.ora under $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin on the server.

I installed a default database.

any help on this is much appreciated
