TNS-12547: TNS: Lost contact

Hi All,

I have installed oracle 10G client on my system. While connecting to the database which is at some other location. I am getting th below mentioned error

TNS-12547: TNS: Lost contact
I have also done tnsping, but get the same error.

Please suggest something.
