TNS-03505: Failed to resolve name

Hi,

I am getting the below error while trying to tnsping the db.

everthing is working fine, i could able to connect to db from server as well as from toad and listener is up and running and i reloaded the listner and did stop and start too. and more over i dint changed any parameters in tns file or listner file or sql.net file or ... below is the error

hostname> tnsping sid
