TimesTen and memory needs/usage

So I am new to Oracle TimesTen and just started reviewing the documentation.

A couple questions comes to mind looking at Oracle TimesTen:

What kind of hardware do I use with this? Throw big memory at it . . . something like http://www.superssd.com/products/ramsan-500/ ?
What is the trade off between faster/more CPU (cores) or just go big with the memory and slower/less CPU (cores)?
