Timestamp conversion

Hi

I have one table with column of datatype timestamp(6) and the values are stored as
17-SEP-12 12.50.19.000000 PM
17-SEP-12 11.07.09.000000 AM

Now i need to compare this with the Systimestamp
I used cast.... cast(systimestamp as timestamp(6)) which gave result as 25-SEP-12 09.07.56.149800 AM
But i need the fractions to be 000000 always..
