Time Since Chkpt keep increasing

Program Status Group Lag Time Since Chkpt

MANAGER RUNNING
REPLICAT RUNNING C_RJ_C 00:00:00 00:00:03
REPLICAT RUNNING C_RR_C 00:00:34 *06:11:22*

the only time when I saw it grew is usually because it got STOPPED or ABENDED. But the process above is still RUNNING
And it only grow after c_rr_c is running for few hours

view report, ggserr.log shows nothing. Browse through documentations have nothing. Checkpointtable seem like something that you set and forget.
My understanding is when process stop/start checkpoint is needed for recovery

why does Time Since Chkpt keep on increasing? what could happen when its high ?
