"The site says xdb"

Hi,

One a new 11g database, I have configured APEX and ran the apxconf script and provided the port number as 8080. When attempting to access APEX home, I am getting a login box asking for username/password. Here is the prompt:

A username and password are being requeted by http:.....:8080. The site says: XDB:

BTW, I unlocked anonymous user accounts, bounced the db/listeners etc....still not able to get rid of the login window. When the correct username/password keyed-in, it tells me that .../apex/apex_admin not available.

Any help to fix this annoying error would be greatly appreciated.
