"The password is incorrect. Try again?" when trying to use OWM 11g

OracleappsdbaNov 10 2010 — edited Jan 12 2011
Hi All,

Database version - 11.2.0.1

We have a wallet which has the user certificates, trusted certificate created through OpenSSL - ewallet.p12

We were able to open this wallet through 10g owm, but we are unable to open the wallt from the 11g owm.

This is due to the bug which is mentioned in the note - 1116717.1.

Options i tried :

1. Opened the wallet in 10g owm and done a save as as mentioned in the note 1116717.1 and tried to open that in 11g owm. Got below error messages and wallet opened with no user certificate.

java.io.IOException: Check wallet.
at oracle.security.pki.OracleKeyStoreSpi.a(OracleKeyStoreSpi)
at oracle.security.pki.OracleWallet.internalGetTCertCompNum(OracleWallet)
at oracle.security.pki.OracleWallet.getTrustpointInfo(OracleWallet)
at oracle.security.pki.OracleWalletPersona.getTrustpointInfo(OracleWalletPersona)
at oracle.security.wallet.NZCertificate.a(NZCertificate)
at oracle.security.wallet.NZCertificate.<init>(NZCertificate)
at oracle.security.wallet.NZPersona.e(NZPersona)

2. Opened the wallet in 10g owm and done a export wallet and tried opening in 11g, but again same "The password is incorrect. Try again?" issue.

Now trying to create a empty wallet and export the certs and import this in this new wallet. But the new wallet does not even have a certificate request in it.

Please advice on how to over come this situation and open this wallet in 11g.

Thanks & Regards,
Rakesh
