the infamous libXp.so.6 error
563267Jun 12 2007 — edited Jan 4 2011Hello - I'm simply trying to install oracle 10.2.0.1 on Enterprise Linux upgrade 5 on x86-64 environment. I seem to have followed a squillion install guides on what is and isn't installed by default, and I still can't even get the installer to run, let alone anything remotely complicated.
I already have the xorg-x11-deprecated-libs package installed
[oracle@linux u01]$ rpm -q xorg-x11-deprecated-libs
xorg-x11-deprecated-libs-6.8.2-1.EL.18.0.1
does anyone have any other ideas about what else I need to install to get this thing to work ?
Even better, does anyone have a 100% idiot proof way of getting this linux installed in such a way that I have a better than even chance of getting oracle to install ?
Thanks
