the database sid you have specified is already on this host

Hi,

I am installing oracle application server, the infrastructure. I get this error message when during installation, on database configuration options:

the database sid you have specified is already on this host, please specify a sid that is unique to this host.

The sid is unique, not sure why it doesnt like it. I need to keep the same sid name, there is one that resides on another server but that should not conflict with this install on a new server.

Please advise, I have checked the oraInst.loc file and that points to the ORACLE_BASE variable
