TFA version downgrading from 12.1.2.7.0 to12.1.2.0.0 when upgrading GI from 11.2.0.4 to 12c R1

Hi,

Below are the steps:

a. Installed 11g R2 GI

b. Applied October 2016 PSU

c. TFA version showing as 12.1.2.7.0 - run from 11g Grid home

d. Upgrade from 11g R2 to 12c R1 (12.1.0.2)

e. TFA version showing as 12.1.2.0.0, means downgraded - run from 12c Grid Home

As far as my uderstanding goes, since we upgraded with 12c R1 binaries, the TFA version changed to 12.1.2.0.0. Please confirm this understanding.

Also if I want to restore back the version to 12.1.2.7.0, do I have to download the installable from Oracle metalink and then Install OR need to apply any PSU after the 12c R1 upgrade process.
