Textpad help

I needed to install java and textpad for school by midnight. I installed everything, but when I try to compile java, it just says "Tool completed with exit code -1073741515" or anther random number. This is said in the tool output box. It says this even if I mess up the program. I dont know what this is and I cant find any kind of comand results window. please help me by midnight tonight.
