text files, delete a character

Hi people!

If possible, please help me!

I am processing a txt file with java, and I want to delete all these strange things -
small squares in a notepad file that are newline characters (or some character combinations).
I thought that this character is DEL, or \177 from ACSII table, and I've tried replaceAll("\\DEL", ""); replaceAll("\\117", ""); but it does not work.
