Text field and button to append to an URL - Popup Window issues

Hi,

I'm trying to use a text field (P146_SR) to append to an URL (https://www.sitename.com/Number.jspx?sr=&P146_SR.). The only way I managed to do this is to use the Text field with a button submitting it to a page and branching to an URL. This works great, but I need to change it so that the URL with the parameter is directed in a POPUP window. The URL Target area in the Branch doesn't allow me using Java Scripting. Can someone please advise what other options I can use?
