Teradata Equivalent Of Oracle

RijuJan 17 2014 — edited Jan 17 2014

Hi,

I am really sorry if this question is out of place. I know it is an Oracle forum but wanted to ask the question just in case any one has any ideas about it.

My client has recently decided that he wants to move his entire database from Oracle to Teradata. I have been working on Oracle for the past 3 years and suddenly the challenge to move to a new RDBMS really scares me off. I find Oracle the best in terms of scalability but I am left with no choice.

The help that I want is to know the equivalent of Oracle's PL/SQL in teradata and some learning materials for SQL and the programming language of Teradata. We have to replicate the entire code base from Oracle PL/SQL to teradata and I have no clue about the programming language or anything. Can you please help me with some quick reference that would be easy to grasp?

Apologies again for putting this question here if it is out of place.

Thank you.
