Temporary Tablespace usage is ZERO

Dear All,

Two weeks ago my temporary tablespace size was incerase and I shrinked it using the following command:
ALTER TABLESPACE TEMPORARY SHRINK SPACE KEEP 500M;

After that I have noticed performance of my database is degraded. Database Control of my Oracle 11g Enterprise Edition under MS Windows 2003 Server 32-bit also shows now that utilisation of temporary tablespace is ZERO even though its the only temporary tablespace and available I mean is ONLINE.

Any comments or suggestions please?
