Tar too large to archive. Use E function modifier

Hi Friends,

I am trying to take my database backup in my solaris SPARC 64 bit os.
When i issuing the command tar -cvEf data.tar /do1/oracle/data is throwing an below error like

tar too large to archive. Use E function modifier

Kindly suggests me,
