Tablespace Nologging

KSGJan 12 2010 — edited Jan 12 2010
Hi,

OS: IBM-AIX
Oracle10g

My database is running in noarchivelog mode.
Application users usually run the 'close of business' process every week, at the time inserts or updates made to the tables. Which requires fairly no redolog/archivelog.

For this setup of database, which requires no back and recovery process. And I even dont require undo/redo/archivelog to be generated.

Even now with noarchivelog mode. Often Unnecessary redo log files are overwritten.

So I think of changing my tablespace to nologging mode.

Please suggest me what else can be carried out to make fast the insert/update operation.

Thanks in advance
KSG
