Tablespace management with ASSM
440645Jun 4 2007 — edited Jun 4 2007Since ASSM is the default in 10g I was wondering how people are dealing with space management in their tablespaces? How do you know if you have enough space for the next extent of a table when you don't know how big the next extent is? Even if you did know the size of the next extent, how do you allow for the fact that the datafile for the tablespace is set to autoextend? And what if there isn't enough room on the disk for the tablespace to autoextend? What are you doing to deal with these questions?
