Oracle Database Discussions

hi experts

i am using oracle 9i on linux i have a tablespace xxx and there r round abt 3 cr rows in that.
my problem is i want to empty that tablespace because it is almost full.
now, what i did, i have made another tablespace on another disk and transfer one of the table containig 1 cr data from xxx tablespace .
and drop that table from xxx tablespace
is that a right practise to do
or is any thing better i can do
plz help
