tablespace datafile 100% full

hello

whenever I found tablespace 100% full error message, I add one more datafile to the tablespace. likewise I have added almost 25 datafiles so far to the tablespace once it is 100% full.

please advise it is right way to proceed like above or I can autoextend the existing datafile to have some free space. which one is better. Please suggest
