Table taking too long to open in TOAD

Hi Gurus,

I am using TOAD for Oracle 9i. The contents of one of my Table has grown enormously to 13,00,000 records and as such takes around 5 minutes to display the records in TOAD. Since I an new to DBA, I am unaware of what could be the reason behind this. Can Re-building Indexes help.
