T4-1 Diagnosing Power Issues in ILOM

user8546119Nov 18 2024

Hi,

ERROR: Non-Recoverable power glitch has occurred

followed by:

/SYS/MB has fault.chassis.voltage.fail

A chassis voltage supply is operating outside of the allowable range.

_detector = /SYS/MB/IO_POK

The temperature sensors show nothing out of range, but only the standby voltage is shown (in range).

After setting clear_fault_action=true and in fmadm repairing the PSUs and motherboard, the service processor won't start the host processor – it will try then immediately fault – so when the data below are collected the system will be in standby mode.

My question: So how is one supposed to diagnose the power supply rail, or on-board voltage that is “outside of the allowable range” if full power is only supplied briefly?

Thanks.
