SYS and SYSTEM account lock

Hello folks,

Recently my company IT auditors has raised an issue regarding the default Oracle DBA accounts i.e. SYS & SYSTEM.
According to them these accounts should be LOCKED.

According to my limited knowledge, these are default accounts & used by Oracle Background Processes.

Please let know if we can LOCK these accounts or anyother way going forward....
