SYNONYMN Vs VIEW

Hi,
We are using Oracle9i in Win2K.
We have 3 different Database Instances running on the same server.
Which is the best way(Synonymn or View) to produce performance when we query the tables residing across different instance?
Can any one clear my doubt or can any one forward a weblink where i get information on this!
