synonym and privilege problem

i am using oracle 9i with version 9.2.0.6 on a linux rh4 platform. for your information, i have a schema named reporter. this schema will be drop and recreate and reimport with yesterday's info only into database.
i have not encounter any problems but just from last week, one of the analyst was complaint that she cannot access a synonym.
i checked the privs and synonym, all necessary were granted and created but is weird that she still can't access. what i did is to drop and recreate all the privs and synonyms.
can anyone help me on this?
