Synchronizing the tables data of two databases

459628Jan 15 2008 — edited Jan 16 2008
I have two servers, one is the application server and the other is the mirror server. Both servers are running Windows Server 2003 and both have identical Oracle 9i databases (same tables, same indexes, same views, etc...). I have also an ERP system (Name: BAAN) which is running in the application server and whatever this ERP system is doing (update or insert operations) to the Oracle database on the application server is mirrored to the one in the mirror server.

One day, the mirror server got crashed then we had to break the mirroring from the ERP system (unless the ERP system will not work becase it cannot connect to the mirror server). After arround 3 months, we fixed the mirror server by changing the motherboard and it's now up and running along with its Oracle database.

Now we want to enable back the mirroring from the ERP system but first I need to copy to the mirror Oracle database whatever data it is missed from the original/application Oracle database during the period the mirror server is crashed. My question is what is the suitable way to do that? Notice that is what I need to copy is/are only the missed data/records because there is nothing else has been changed or created. Although notice that our database size is arround 60 GB with more than 1000 tables.

If I have to use the Import and Export utilities, please advice me on how to prevent having duplicated data.

Thanks in advance...
