Sync Two database schemes on a linux server using Oracle GoldenGate

PrazSamAug 18 2015 — edited Sep 8 2015

I have followed this guide ( http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/fmw/goldengate/12c/OGG12c_Installation/index.html?cid=9167&ssid=0 ) and it is for two different database schemas running on the same database instance.

What I have now is a Linux server with two Oracle Database Schemes.
I have access to it through my Linux virtual machine. I want to make Synchronization possible between them.

I have to use Oracle GoldenGate to make this possible. What I have to do now? Is Goldengate need to be installed in server also? I'm totally new to this situation. Can some one give me at least the main steps before going to deeper study?
