sxde 1/08 dvd not recognized on toshiba satellite, recognized on Sparc

Hello,

I just got my SXDE 1/08 dvd in the mail, and I'm trying to install it on my Toshiba Satellite P15 laptop. The laptop is already running Solaris 10 1/07.

The problem is that the laptop doesn't recognize the dvd at all when I put in the drive. That is, the volume manager doesn't pop up a window with the dvd's contents. However, my Ultra 60 running the same Solaris 10 recognizes the dvd immediately, and pops up a window.

The laptop's DVD drive is a MATSHITA UJ-811.
