Switching between OBIEE 11g reports through prompt seelctions

We are trying to consilidate or streamline our current dashboard design. We have requirement to toggle between reports based on a prompt selection. We have a setup as detailed in the blog below:

We are trying to see if there are any alternatives to making this happen? We do not want to have multiple reort definitions, but try and see if the filters could be designed in such a way that they switch reporting criteria columns based on prompt selectors. Just throwing it out there since it seems like it might be an iteresting challenge if possible.
