Swing frameWorks for rapid Application development

Hi ,

I recently tried OpenSwing Framework for application development , openswing forums are not much active and openswing also lacks setailed documentations.
I would appreciate if you guys share your viewpoint towards Swings and Netbeans Api development . Which opensource framework to use or any good design practices .

Please share your ideas as i am new in to GUI development .
