SunOS 5.10 Generic i86pc , many problems

807559Nov 28 2006 — edited Nov 30 2006
I have a SunOS 5.10 Generic i86pc i386 i86pc. 64 bit kernel. Ram 1 GB. Pentium D.

1. My system reboots automatically as a interruted by power switch. Log of reboot is seen using last command . But could not able to trace where is problem.

find / -name
command slows down the system. I feel some problem is in IO operation.

2. Another thing is, I use bash shell, But

bash-3.00# echo $SHELL
/usr/bin/bash
if i change shell to ksh, or sh

still, it shows
# echo $SHELL
/usr/bin/bash

Is it always shows default shell using or considers shell change as a command.
similatr thing is observed on spark, netra t 105 server.

Pls , help me in above case.
As system reboots once in a day. So, I'm not able to work properly. Issue is still hidden.
I searched with log file
/var/adm/wtmpx

/var/adm/utmpx

still, no conclusion.
