sunfire v240 ALOM password recovery

Hi,

We have a couple of sunfire v240s which were powered down and are now stuck at the ALOM 1.4 prompt. The previous system admin did not leave back the ALOM password, so I need to recover the password for the boxes.

I tried using the password recovery method specified in some documents on the sun website which tells me to press escape during boot up to get the ALOM escape menu and erase the nvram. But in my case, I do not get the 'erase nvram' option for the ALOM escape menu. I am using ALOM v1.4

Any help will be appreciated.
