Sun Studio 12 installation failed on a newly installed Solaris 5/08 (x86)

Hi there,

today I tried to install the software Sun Studio 12 on my box. I downloaded this file SunStudio12ml-solaris-x86-200709-pkg.tar.bz2. After unpacking I started the installer. Almost at the end a pkgadd operation failed. Unfortunately I lost the error message. I just remember some fragment "the patch failed because this patch is already installed" or something like that.

pkginfo SUNWspro gives me :ERROR: information for "SUNWspro" was not found". On the other hand at least other packages got installed, e.g. pkginfo SPROcc "application SPROcc Sun Studio 12 C Compiler".

If I try to use the uninstaller located under /opt/SUNWspro/installer I get this error message:

bash-3.00# ./uninstaller
ln: cannot create ./uninstall_Sun_Studio_12.class: File exists
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: uninstall_Sun_Studio_12

Can someone point me a way to get this installation fixed?

Best regards, Pedro
