Sun One Studio on Debian Linux

843804Jan 26 2003 — edited Feb 6 2003
I am trying to get Sun One Studio Community edition installed and configured on my debian (woody) linux box. But I can't seem to get past the installation phase at all! I have tried with the co-bundle and with stand alone. The co-bundle starts up and just crashes, it isn't able to get the JVM installed. And the stand alone gives me the following error:

.A suitable JVM could not be found. Please run the installer again using the option -is:javahome <JAVA HOME DIR>

I have tried 1.3.0_6 jre(sun) 1.4.0_3sdk(sun) 1.4.1sdk(blackdown) jvms to get the thing to run.. I have tried with -is:javahome path.. -javahome path -is:javahome "path" -javahome "path" etc.. etc.. etc... No dice, everytime it comes up with that error. I'm not getting any other debug info or anything else.. If anybody has any experiance with this, help would be GREATLY appriciated!!! Thanks!

Ryan
