Sun Fire x2200 M2 Memory Problems

Hi,

We have a Sun Fire x2200 M2. So, we tried upgrade the memory at this server to 12GB with 4x1GB and 2x4GB, but the OS (Windows Server 2008 x64) recognize physically 4GB.

We made some tests, as follow:

- Update BIOS : We updated the BIOS to 0.81.01 (04/01/2009)
- Ubuntu x64: We booted with this OS to see the amount of memory had installed (the problem persist)
- Windows 2003 x64 : We booted with this OS to see the amount of memory had installed (the problem persist)

We saw in some forums people talking about features of BIOS:

- reclaim/remap the MMIO DRAM Hole

In the Sun Fire x2200 M2 we localized a feature called MTRR MAPPING (on BIOS go to Advanced > CPU) and we put the option "Segmented", but the problem persist.
