My Sun Blade 2000 just came in on Thursday. The firmware needed to be updated. Otherwise, it seems to be working just fine. It has dual US-III 900s, 4 GB RAM, and dual 36 GB FC-AL drives.
I installed a LSI 3442X-R SAS/SATA HBA in the 3.3v 66 mhz slot and a Intel Pro 1000 (e1000g) network adapter in one of the 33 mhz slots. The LSI itmpt driver was needed for the HBA. Both were recognized by Solaris 10 11/06.
I installed a SATA WDC 3200 KS in the 4-bay external enclosure and connected the infiniband cable to HBA.
Here is how it appears to prtdiag -v, prtconf -D, and format after it was configured:

Unfortunately, LSI seems to have the only HBAs that will support SATA on Solaris sparc.
