SUM, MAX, DECODE

can you use SUM and MAX in a DECODE

something like this:

sum(DECODE(TRUNC(max(AGED_DAYS)/30),0,ACCOUNT_BALANCE,0.00)) "FALL"

when i do this it does not work.
