subversion authentication problem

I'm having trouble getting Data Modeler to connect to my subversion repository. Here's what I get when I hit the test read access button:

Testing read access for repository http://svn.companyname.net/LNSS...
svn: authentication failed. Please check your username and password.
svn: authentication failed. Please check your username and password.
Access refused.

(companyname changed)

I'm using this same repository with other tools like tortoisesvn. Any ideas?
