I am trying to use SUBSTRING IN OBIEE front end..
My Scenario is I have a column X for which the max lengthof that column is 8 and some are less than8..
So what I did was I concatenated all the numbers with zero's taking 2 as the min length.
Ex : Orginal numbers : 157 , 12345678
After concatenation : 00000057 , 00000012345678
Now i wanted to use Substring fucntion and get the last 8 numbers, i..e., 12345678 , 00000157
I am trying to use SUBSTRING (Expression, -8, 8)
But this is not working
Any other suggestions,
