Submit a Region not the Page

Bob Sacamano-OracleMay 18 2012 — edited May 19 2012
Hello,

I'm using APEX 4.1 and a beginner level user.

I have a page with two regions. One region is supposed to allow the end user to enter a date item, submit it (the submit button is unique to that region) and it will update a date column. The other region has a LOV item and the end user should be able to select from the LOV, submit it (this submit button is also unique to the region) and it updates a certain column. The problem is when one region is submitted, it also attempts to submit the other region. How can I submit one region only and not the entire page? I've already viewed some old posts here on this, but they were pretty vague as to the solution and didn't help me figure this out. Please help as I do not want to have to create a separate page for every region.

Thanks!
David
