Subject Area Missing from Analysis but can query against it with reports

I've recently implemented OBIEE 11g (11.1.1.1.5) and went ahead with upgrading the RPD and Catalog. Now when I log into /analytics one of the subject areas is not showing up under 'Analysis'.
However, when i use one of the upgraded requests, I can run it and get back results. I was expecting the 'Missing Subject Area' error message when I ran the request and but no message.
I checked the following things....
- In the RPD, the subject area permissions are set to 'everyone'
- Verified there were no errors in Consistency Checker. (i do have warnings though)
Any other things I can check? Seems to be odd to me that the requests work on the subject area but I can't not open the subject area itself.
