Storage repositories not mounting after server restart(SUN FIRE X4270 M2 )
Using SUN FIRE X4270 M2 and SUN FIRE X4170 servers for the virtualization.
Both of the servers running oracle vm 2.2.2 but with one exception .
The network on SUN FIRE X4270 M2 takes approximately 30-40 seconds to come into network after initial network initialization at boot. This leads to Oracle VM repositories not being initialized after restart.
More digging reveals that ovs-agent service not able to find NAS repository path due to unavailability of resources.
We have to manually initialize the repositories.
After analyzing the system commands i came to know that they two are running different Ethernet controllers
Please check the output of network command on both servers.
SUN FIRE X4170

# lsmod | egrep 'pcnet32|vmxnet|e1000|igb'

Found the latest network driver for the server but unable to install them as OS dev packages are missing.
Please Help resolve the issue.
Still wondering why SUN FIRE X4270 M2 is in comp-ability list of ORACLE VM 2.2.2.
