A basic question, I m unsure what options to choose and what steps to follow in loading a fact table from source on to target. The goal here would be : the mapping should be able to capture the source fact table changes.
1. Should I follow this https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/12212/odi/develop/cubes_dimensions.htm#ODIDG9934 to create & load a Fact table ?
2. There is an option in DataStore to define Fact Table type. If I go with this, what configurations I would need ?
3. Can I simply map the Source Fact table in to Target Table ? or I would need to use a join with all Dimensional table involved as a Source ? What is the normal approach.
Any good link or detailed steps is appreciated to Load a simple fact table to a Target Data Warehouse.
