statstime struct in rstat.h populated by rstatd

Greetings,

The statstime struct in rstat.h populated by rstatd contains a variable called "dk_xfer" which I beleive provides access to the "Disk traffic in transfers per second" performance metrics.

What I need to know is how is a "disk transfer" defined -- reads/writes, blocks, etc? Where is documentation for rpc.rstatd?
