Star/snow flake schema

Hi,

Is it mandatory that the schema in BMM layer should be a star schema? Can we have a snow flake schema as well? I am building a report that directly pulls data from Oracle database. It is a simple report and does not involve any measures, dollars etc. It is a report on items, export license on them, etc. I am trying to pull the the tables involved and join them as is and pull them into BMM..but this will not be a star schema either in physical or BMM...would this be ok? Please advice.
