Standby Database v$archived_log applied shows NO.

Dear All,

I am new in Oracle Standby concept. Recently I have configured Physical Standby Database.

When ever I execute Switch logfile in primary, entry in v$archived_log on standby get reflected and archive log file got copied.

But all archived log status on Applied shows NO.

When I execute Recover Standby Database , oracle asks me for Log sequence 2 which is not even available on Primary.

Is there any way to skip logfile sequence on standby or any other workaround for this?

I am using Oracle 11gR2 on windows.

Please help me.
